I'm bored at work and want to do this meme again

So I'm doing it again.

It goes LIKE SO. You comment here and ASK A QUESTION it can be anything CFUD related, OOC, IC, Relationship, psychology, thoughts, whatever. I.E. My character's opinion of your character or maybe what you have been wondering about this behavior or that, or general thoughts on my characters or canons or what, who I might consider raping you into apping, etc.

WHEN I REPLY I will also ask you a question in turn!

In this way we talk at each other, which is fun.

I play Kodachi Kuno, Steven Hyde, Stacy Rowe, and Ty Lee! And I used to play Hidan and Takashi Kamiyama so if there was anything there, ask away too (... and I might arbitrarily answer for them in blanket questions too if I have a good answer).

[identity profile] toxicological.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Iiiiiiii want to know Kodachi's most and least favorite things about camp.

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Least Favorite: The people who are here, the people who aren't here, the weather, the unfitting accommodations (despite the fact that she has a quality suite in the Love Hotel), the camp effects, the noise, the increasingly irritating farce that is why she's been stuck in camp for over three years, the mess hall, the library being public, the onsen being public, public places in camp in general, the zombies, the month of October, mistletoe, the potential headache that is Christmas if she's still there in time for the cards to arrive, the lake, Marcy, camp.

Favorite: She got a couple good pets out of the deal and a fuckton of interesting research. That's about it in terms of camp circa 2009.

Favorite Ivy episode of Batman: TAS (and for fun, favorite non-Ivy episode)?

[identity profile] isntshejailbait.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Is 'all of them' an acceptable answer?

Failing that, I am especially fond of Almost Got 'Im, because of the interaction between the villains and how Ivy gets to effortlessly top the boys and still be hot. For non-Ivy, Baby-Doll is probably my favorite, because ow, my heart. ;~;

One thing from any of your canons that, if you could, you would wipe from everyone's memories. THAT NEVER HAPPENED, RIGHT?

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
... hmmm. Probably Ty Lee's lone scene in the final episode of Avatar because while I can resolve it as being IC for her, it takes a lot of work and reasoning on my part and the only way for me to really accept it is to call it a bittersweet ending for her at best and a depressingly ironic ending at worst. I would sooner not even have her be in it beyond the general assumption that she's fine because that at least leaves a blank slate and gives Azula one less thing to use against me on IRC

Runner-up is the eighth season of That '70s Show because ugh.

If a press release came out tomorrow saying that Poison Ivy was going to be in the next Nolan Batman movie, who would you want to be cast as her (and for hilarity's sake, who would you absolutely not want to see cast as her)?

[identity profile] toxicological.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Can I create a weird Frankenstein? I totally can.

She needs Diane Pershing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Pershing)'s voice, i-iyaaaaaa and you know, here's the thing, I'd quite like to see what a younger Gillian Anderson (http://fusedfilm.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/gillian-anderson-083.jpg) could do with her. But she doesn't really look like Ivy does in my head, and there's no one I can think of who does.

On the other hand, my DO NOT WANT (http://www.comicbookhotties.com/images/poison-ivy/large/uma-thurman-picture-12.jpg) should be obvious.

Since the concept of the Avatar movie horrifies me, who would you cast as Ty Lee if you were in charge? Or if you wish to rectify the hideous casting mistakes, add in as many other cast members as you like.

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
See, the truth of the matter is I honestly do not know who I would cast as Ty Lee. Most likely an unknown, because I think maybe I've offhandedly thought "oh she could play Ty Lee" in regards to actresses once or twice in the past few months but I don't know who they were anymore. So it would have to be an unknown who looks the part, can act, and preferably has martial arts experience but that can be taught well enough for film, probably. This (http://dangerousladies.deviantart.com/art/I-Am-Down-94908718) is probably the best Ty Lee cosplayer I've ever seen, though (and the Azula and Mai in the same group are also amazing).

As for the rest of the movie, Dev Patel would be playing Sokka, not Zuko. He's an okay choice for Zuko but really now. And I don't really have preferences for anyone else in the cast, though if we went the Shyamalan route and didn't make ethnicity a factor, there is no good reason to not cast Jason Isaacs to reprise Admiral Zhao. Aasif Mandvi will probably be okay the more I think about it, but Fire Nation = India really doesn't work for me (nor does anything about the film). And I honestly have no clue on anyone else. I will say that aside from the fact that Zhao is ripped, Daniel Dae Kim could have been a really good choice to play him because he did refined smarminess exceptionally well on Angel. I don't think he's imposing enough for Ozai or Long Feng but he would have been great as Zhao.

Which of your characters, past or present, was the easiest app to write? Which was the hardest?

[identity profile] toxicological.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Reg Shoe was the easiest app to write, hands-down - twenty minutes between thought and execution, no beta changes. As for the hardest, it would probably be Liir's - he was originally meant to be apped two rounds earlier than he was, but I couldn't get anything ready in time. He's not a very funny boy.

Same back at you!

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Easiest: Kamiyama. One day I was just like "I want to write an app for Kamiyama because I've been obsessed with Cromartie all year and it would be funny." So I did that in thirty minutes and then sent the app request in to the mods. I remember Juri was incredibly amused that I wrote this app on a whim and it ended up getting my highest percentage up until Ty Lee. AND SPEAKING OF.
Hardest: Ty Lee. Ty Lee, Hidan, and Stacy were all strenuous apps that I lost sleep over, but I was so incredibly obsessed with apping Ty Lee that round because there was going to be an Azula and a Mai and if I didn't app her now I'd have more competition to app her later, so I drove myself nuts writing that app to very limited success up until the day before. Two days prior to that (on Halloween, no less), by the end of the day I was too exhausted and stressed to even think straight so by ten in the evening I was just lying at my bed staring at the ceiling, completely spent. It was ridiculous.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Kamiyama was my first drop ever and my only character that I didn't play for longer than a year and Ty Lee's my primary, really.

Favorite thread ever for each character you play?

[identity profile] fortanabata.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
What are Stacy's thoughts now that Tiffany is in camp? :>

[identity profile] ifuwant2bloved.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
On the whole, fairly good ones! On the scale of people from home Stacy would like to have in camp, it was probably like so; Quinn, Tiffany, probably Jodie even if they have no canon interaction because everyone likes Jodie, anyone but Sandi, and then Sandi. Stacy's inherently pessimistic in the "this can't last good things don't happen to me for long periods of time oh god" sense but the worst case scenario here is she gets to share a cabin with her second-best friend for a while, so that's nice. She kind of wants to pass the CFUD Fashion Club presidency off to Tiffany so at least she has an excuse for not doing anything with it, but even if she's from a point in canon before when Tiffany had her ill-fated stint as president she can probably guess how that would go so the jury's out.

Let's talk CFUW since I'm sitting here kicking myself for not playing Kodachi in the last one. Do you prefer to play as a wolf or a sheep and does which character you play affect that preference?
povertyprincess: (Default)

[personal profile] povertyprincess 2009-10-19 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, until very recently, I always got sorted as sheep. In the 3 years or so I've been playing, hurr durr. Then I was a wolf in the last two Zazzle games. (I SHOULD MAYBE START PICKING SOMEONE ELSE WHEN ZAZZLE IS THE SHEPHERD . . .)

I don't have a preference for the role, although now that I've played Yuuto as wolf twice, I've felt the burnout. He's not the best character to play as a wolf in a srs game with lives at stake (because he's a hero from a kids show), but then again, I'm not sure anyone in my cast would be better.

I guess anyone works to play as sheep or in cracky games, but I'll have to consider very seriously who I want to sign up for the next dramatic game, in case a miracle happens and I get a wolf role again. :|a

Also, I just randomly remembered that my girl character, [livejournal.com profile] doesntjustifaiz is now in Stacy and Tiffany's cabin. 8D I AM SO HAPPY, she dresses like a hobo btw. We need to thread!

As a guy, how do you approach playing girls? Is there any difference about the way you play guys and girls?

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Definitely on the threading thing, yeah ♥

See, it's funny because even though I really play more girls than guys, I don't really... focus on any specific approach per se? It's rarely a thing I ever think about because to be honest, it rarely actually feels like a thing I have to keep in serious consideration unless it's a must for the thread/post (see the Firecabin PMS post from last year where I mostly just took the best stab at it I could). I think the biggest difference between playing guys and playing girls for me is that usually there are personality traits that are more common in the characters I play of one gender than another (for example, both Stacy and Ty Lee have very distinct attention issues and Kodachi has marginal issues there, while none of the guys I've played in CFUD have had that). So that's kind of a non-answer but it's the best I've got.

Buuut now I'm curious because it's not something I've put much thought into, so same question for you except obviously with the genders reversed.

[personal profile] povertyprincess 2009-10-20 11:19 am (UTC)(link)
Even though it's a non-answer it's still good. I mean, I know not everyone focuses on that kind of thing when RPing, but I know some (female) players do, and I'd never heard the other side, I think.

That said, I guess because slash fangirls get ragged on so much about how unrealistic they write guys in fanfic or whatever, yeah, I keep it in mind when I RP. I would say that age, too, is a definite factor there. Like, I won't play a teenage guy the same way I'd play an adult man. A teenage guy might be more amused by gross stuff than a teenage girl would, but an adult man would just clean that shit.

I'm so used to playing guys, actually, that when I picked up Elle I wondered whether I could do it right and not overdo it or whatever. XD; Elle has cutesy mannerisms and body language, so I had to actively show that in my action tags and comments. On the other hand, Mari doesn't care as much about being a girl, because -- hobo. She has her "let's talk about boys, kyaa!" moments, but she's not calling attention to her status as a girl as Elle.

So, I'd say, I do put thought into it, but I also consider stuff like age, and definitely the character's personality, of course. Tohru isn't going to talk about or find amusing the same things that Kurono did, for instance. I have a similar experience as yours in that some personality traits have been common in my guys (and not present or the opposite in my two girls).

Going back to CFUW, what has been your favorite game in which you've played, to date?

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man, that's interesting. I can't clearly remember every CFUW game I've ever played in because... well, over three years since my first game at this point, but I want to say it's the first game where Hidan was a wolf because it featured a Hidan vs. Maya Fey EPIC DEBATE over which of them was the wolf (seriously, it was entirely too analytical and intelligent for those two characters) and basically my best wolf play in a single game. For sheer "... lol" reasons, though, the boy band/pop music game was hilarious for reasons of sheer ineptitude on the part of both the sheep and the wolves.

So since you mentioned Elle; I have the second season of Heroes in my queue still. Should I even bother putting it in the rotation or should it just stay a "if I'm really desperate for a TV show to watch" thing?
povertyprincess: (Default)

[personal profile] povertyprincess 2009-10-21 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol. On one hand, it's a fairly short season. On the other, that was the season cut short by the writers's strike, so if you went on to watch other seasons, they pretty much dropped all the development afterwards. Watch Elle's episodes only if you want to see Kristen Bell being awesome. :Dd

Will you go watch the Avatar movie when it's out?

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-21 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Only if it's a matinee screening in an empty theater with any and all Avacast members in the general Pacific Northwest area (which is a lot of them). Otherwise I have no intention of giving them my money. There is a prequel graphic novel coming out that's written by one of the best authors in Avatar fandom and drawn by one of the best artists in Avatar fandom, and that might be the lone thing pertaining to the movie that I'm genuinely interested in picking up.

See now I've completely forgotten so I have to ask, were Elle and Veronica in camp at the same time at all and if so did they thread ever?
povertyprincess: (Default)

[personal profile] povertyprincess 2009-10-21 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohh, so they've hired people in the fandom? That's really cool.

They were for a time, yeah! They had like . . . one thread together, which was one of the signs that I didn't have time for so many characters. The result of that thread though, was that they were both paranoid about the other, but they hid it under wary cheerfulness. I think Elle thought it was someone with powers taking her form. I don't remember what Veronica thought though I discussed it with Sian.

Speaking of face doubles, what would Hyde think of his actor and his questionable religious choices? Bonus if it's in voice.

[identity profile] deadbeatgoeson.livejournal.com 2009-10-22 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I wrote this and then the internet went down for hours, FML.

Alright, man, let's get the first thing out of the way because it's too obvious to spend too much time on; organized religion is a sham that the government and the powers that be use to keep normal folks in line, man. Some more than others; what the hell do Catholic priests do with all those confessions, anyway? But that's one thing, and Scientology is another because that's not even a conspiracy. Conspiracies have to be secret, Scientology is just like "I wonder how dumb celebrities actually are. Let's find out!" Plus, one of its main guys is John Travolta. John Travolta! And you can talk about how great Pulp Fiction was, and it is, I've seen it, but that's no excuse for Welcome Back, Kotter or Saturday Night Fever. He's an acolyte of disco, man, and that's not a thing you can make up for by being in a Tarantino flick. So get your act together, Masterson; the least you can do is sign up for a badass religion like Satanism or something.

... that being said, if you got Isaac Hayes' autograph at some point, hook me up. You owe me that much for pretty much making your career.

Most cringeworthy thing to come out of any of your fandoms?

[identity profile] sharpasfire.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
What things, if any, would Ty Lee like to shout at people re: the Masque thing but she won't?

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
Juuuust two, and they're not so much shouting in either case.

For Azula, it be along the lines of "Why can't you admit what happened to me? I can handle it, I can, I don't need to be lied to, it's not like I'll think less of you or anything!" and mostly stuff along those lines. Just an appeal to Azula to be less ashamed about unnecessary feelings!!1!

And then she sort of wants to make a dismissive remark at Lelouch about his plan and how she thought he was supposed to be smart. But she won't because that's needlessly petty.

In the same vein, if Azula had to actually confide her feelings about the the whole week to Ty Lee how would that even go?

[identity profile] sharpasfire.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
First, I can't even think how she'd even do that rationally. If it was a truth post she'd just get mad and silent, if it was somehow via torture by camp she'd just get belligerent. Basically Azula would need to have an argument with some kind of hallucination and be completely out of her senses to even start really talking about it. Like, hello psychotic demonstrations level.

That said, if she had to tell the truth to Ty Lee it would be pretty loaded anyway. She'd make it extremely uncomfortable to listen to in the hopes she'd run away or give up listening. Stuff like sending people to their deaths (even if, amazingly enough, Azula is relatively innocent in how many she actually decided to "kill"), how much of a monster Masque was, and how she did horrible things to escape such as taunt the Loudspeaker to find out the final boss was his mother and threaten to kill her in order to get everyone out and get him to try and help them.

She'd rather Ty Lee hear those things than how alone Azula felt in the day she was kept in the basement, or how much it hurt to be abandoned. How badly she handled being ressurected, her fight with Zuko and how she didn't want to kill the Loudspeaker's mom even if she was a monster. And mostly how when Masque killed her, she didn't even wish her dad was there to make it stop.

Then she'd wait until Ty Lee left to curl up into a little fetal ball of monsterous self-loathing and cry.

So. Seriously, are you going to make Azula look for Fluffzilla? :/

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
Yes yes yes very yes. It'll do you good to have to give a damn about a cute fluffy animal for once :|

Are you going to genderswitch Azula in December still so Ty Lee can take unfair advantage of mistletoe season?

[identity profile] sharpasfire.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
Ha, you didn't specify its return dead or alive--wait. Well, anyway, it doesn't count as caring. :|

Unless RL destroys me in that month, yes. I already have icons. "Azulon" (http://pics.livejournal.com/sharpasfire/pic/00012y17) with the patented "...why are you touching me" look.

[identity profile] touch-fayth.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Uhh... how about Hyde's opinion of Rikku so far.

Who also needs to hang with Ty Lee more. :D

[identity profile] head-overheels.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed on the hanging out thing, I need to get Ty Lee out more in general since she's supposed to be my social character orz.

ANYWAY I'm sure I've done a relationship meme thing for this before but I don't remember where and I'm too lazy to discern the answer, so I'll try and remember what it would have been off the top of my head. Hyde doesn't really form lasting relationships with anyone in camp (actually it's more likely for this to happen with people he dislikes/enjoys fucking with, ahaha), but in general he likes Rikku and she's definitely on his shortlist of people in camp that he would have no problem chatting with when external forces make him leave his once-more nearly-empty fortress that is Boys' 1. In particular I remember the thread sometime around election day about the shams that are elections, and Hyde always considers cynicism about any government institution a huge plus.

... so I like completely abstract random questions I guess. If all of your characters, past and present, were in a DDR tournament, who'd win and why?

[identity profile] touch-fayth.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
T-elos would win out because she's a deathbot with ties to Jesus. Followed by BloodRayne and Citrine, for sheer athleticism and eye-foot coordination alone. Todd would think it was stupid and pointless, but would do pretty well at it nonetheless, being a badass space vampire and all. Rikku's the only one who really ENJOYS dancing, and there's actually a DDR-ish minigame in X-2 with Yuna and Rikku, but she's... not superhuman. Sara would follow, being a Japanese schoolgirl and all.

And for some reason I just can't picture Gabriel even playing DDR. Uptight English archangel. :3

[identity profile] touch-fayth.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
... How about the one person Stacy would most like to see in camp?

[identity profile] ifuwant2bloved.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
See I was going to say this is an open and shut answer of Quinn Morgendorffer, but then I realized that the question didn't limit to people from Stacy's own canon. SO. The answer is probably Tolle Koenig with the condition that it's the same one who was in camp during Stacy's first year (who is now in Stacy's world because it's better than going back to... um, the promising future in his own canon) and not like a fresh one from Gundam Seed canon. Alternatively, she'd love to have Cher back.

Same question but for Rikku.

[identity profile] touch-fayth.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
As weird as it sounds, I'm gonna go with Brother. Rikku grew up with him, and he took care of her when Cid was off doing things with the Al Bhed. Even as a teenager, he's pretty much always been around, and even though he's embarrassing and annoying sometimes, he's still her big brother and thinks that there's stuff he'd like about camp.

Especially that Yuna's here and Tidus isn't.
